CONCACAF Qualifiers For the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

The Confederation of North, Central American, and Caribbean Association Football, or CONCACAF, is the webalives regional body responsible for qualifying teams for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. It currently has 37 member teams, and three of those receive automatic berths from FIFA.

The first round of the CONCACAF qualifying tournament is now over, and only four nations will advance to the final tournament. The four countries in the group will face each other in a playoff surfbook round, with the winner advancing to the World Cup.

Two of the teams have already qualified for the World Cup: the Netherlands, Panama, and Canada. Canada have qualified for the World Cup for the first time since 1986. The Netherlands, on the other hand, qualified for the World Cup at the expense of Nigeria, the second-best team in Africa. And Senegal also qualified for the World Cup with a thrilling last-gasp win against Egypt.

As for the teams involved in the qualifying tournament, the CONCACAF playoffs are set to begin in July 2020. Teams were split into six groups of five teams, with each team playing two home and yify away matches. Then, the two teams with the lowest FIFA rankings progress to the knockout round.

The format of the CONCACAF qualifiers will resemble the previous “Hexagonal,” with 14 matches instead of 10. These matches will be played in a double match window in June 2021 and again in October, November, January, and March 2022. The top three teams from each group will qualify for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, while the fourth place team will advance to the intercontinental playoff.

Originally, the USMNT was to begin the Qatar journey with the Hexagonal in September, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the FIFA international windows were cancelled. Instead, Concacaf had intended to send the top six teams from the June FIFA Rankings, but the new format is a compromise. As a result, the United States, Mexico, and Costa Rica freshwap would have been identical teams, regardless of results in March and June. In addition, Canada and El Salvador would have had a chance to qualify for the Hex.

The CONCACAF qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup bhojpuri are underway. There are eight CONCACAF nations in the qualifying process, each of which will be competing for three automatic berths.
